BaaS Drive

Not every road user reacts the same way to a closure. Some adapt, while others cause disruption or unsafe situations with their driving behaviour. With BaaS Drive, you receive a diversion route in your car that is tailored to your driving style and the current situation. Calm and predictable driving behaviour is prioritised for speed, while for restless driving behaviour, a route with more calm and fewer stimuli is chosen.

How BaaS Drive Works

BaaS Drive uses a compact device in the car that analyses driving behaviour and context. Based on this, traffic advice and routing are dynamically adjusted. BaaS Drive works with all common navigation systems as well as your car's on-board navigation. Not one detour for everyone, but tailored to the road user's situation.

Not every road user reacts the same way to a closure. If someone is driving in a hurry or is restless, they will choose a route with less traffic, more peace and fewer distractions. If someone continues to drive calmly and predictably, speed will be prioritised instead.

By aligning communication and routing with behaviour, more calm is created in traffic. Fewer unexpected reactions, more predictability and a safer environment around work sites.

The first version of BaaS Drive has been tested in a controlled environment, analysing various forms of driving behaviour and reactions to traffic situations. This research was conducted in collaboration with an external knowledge partner within the mobility sector. The results show that behaviour and communication can be better aligned.

The concept works in a controlled environment. The next step is to test in practice. For this, we will select 10 testers who will be the first to experience BaaS Drive.
