The Municipality of Barneveld is the first municipality in the Netherlands to deploy Traffic Solvers' Melvin notification module. The module retrieves up-to-date data from Melvin and automates a significant part of the communication with stakeholders, such as emergency services, public transport companies, and waste collectors. The challenge: a lot of manual work
At many road authorities, stakeholder communication is still largely handled manually. Information is extracted from Melvin, processed into emails, and subsequently sent to the parties involved. This not only takes a lot of time but also increases the likelihood that stakeholders are working with outdated information when plans or disruptions change.
Straight from Melvin
The Melvin notification module connects directly to Melvin and automatically retrieves the most up-to-date project information. Users can select a project from the Melvin card, add additional closure characteristics, and send a mailing directly via the Traffic Solvers platform.

Automation makes communication faster and clearer. Stakeholders efficiently receive up-to-date information regarding work and closures, enabling them to better align their own processes with the situation on the ground.
A national first
The first evaluation of the pilot is positive.
